Snow grooming isn’t usually an incredibly dangerous job, but lacking the proper understanding of where things are can certainly make it a bit more treacherous.
The young driver of this snowcat in Ontario apparently went off his designated grooming area and wound up on a semi-frozen lake. Big machinery plus semi-frozen lake tends to equal disaster, as it did in this case. Fortunately Muskoka Freerider and other snowmobilers were able to assist on the recovery, though it wasn’t exactly super smooth.

It’s a long video, but it’s pretty interesting to see the different techniques used to attempt the recovery. Though it isn’t fully removed by the time Muskoka Freerider leaves the scene, he did clarify in the comments that the crew eventually got the cat out of the water.
