If you’re a fan of leg burning mogul runs that never seem to end than the Mur Suisse, or Swiss Wall, at the Portes du Soleil ski area on the border between Switzerland and France should be your next vacation destination. The brutal run is features a 37 degree incline and 1085 feet (331 meters) of elevation altitude difference. Plus, it’s consistently avoided by groomers and left to be naturally sculpted by skiers throughout the winter.
European ski instructor Marius Quast took on the vicious mogul run, filming it along the way. Pretty wild to see how many people seem to just be stuck on there, it seems like quite the leg burner. What do you think, could you take it on?
“Whether Direttissima, Gamsleiten 2, Harakiri or simply the steepest ski slopes in the Alps: every ski run has its charm. The Swiss Wall (or also called Swiss Wall / Chavanette) in the French-Swiss ski resort of Les Portes du Soleil is a very special challenge. This slope challenges skiers with large humps on a mogul slope – unprepared and steep. Naturally, I wanted to try my hand at this challenge and venture down the Swiss Wall with my Action Cam on my chest in one continuous run.“
