Nolan Deck
Writer
Nolan Deck gained a passion for both the mountains and the coast through his youth in Maine. He grew up skiing the slopes of Sugarloaf with friends and family, developing a love for the sport early on. He also became an avid cyclist, participating in multiple long-distance bikepacking trips throughout his high school years, and enjoyed days on both lakes and the ocean throughout his childhood.
Nolan’s love for the mountains pulled him towards Colorado for college, where he studied journalism, grew his skills on skis, explored both hiking and climbing during the warmer months, and began interning with Unofficial Networks in 2022. He’s still in the Front Range today, continuing to enjoy the mountains as much as possible while sharing his love for the outdoors with others around the world.

Steve Conney
Unofficial Weatherman
Steve, founder of Powderchasers, has been chasing deep powder for over 40 years. Growing up in New England, Steve developed a love for snow early on, learning to ski at age 3 at Bromley Mountain. He fondly remembers the days of calling resort front desks for pre-dawn snow reports, but embraced the digital age as information became more accessible.
Steve started snowboarding in 1982, when most resorts still banned the sport, and he has rarely missed a first chair since. When asked about his favorite resort, his answer is simple: “Wherever it’s snowing.”
With an average of 700 inches of snowfall in just 20-25 days on the slopes each season, Steve often makes quick work of deep powder, sometimes finishing after just a few epic runs before returning to his full-time career. He’s also a contributor for Opensnow.com and Teton Gravity Research, where he shares his expertise in chasing powder.

Rich Stoner
Unofficial Après Guru
Rich Stoner, founder of All About Après, rekindled his love for skiing and snowboarding after a busy career in coaching and teaching. Alongside his wife, Marcie, their passion was reignited during a ski trip to Stratton Mountain, Vermont, and they haven’t missed a winter season since. For Rich, après ski is more than just an activity—it’s about connecting with friends and family, sharing stories over great food, drinks, and music, and enjoying life’s simple pleasures together.
Through All About Après, Rich and Marcie celebrate this shared experience, curating the best après ski spots, food, beer, and gear. Their blog and social media channels highlight the joy of gathering with loved ones after a day on the slopes (or any adventure). Their apparel line is designed to capture the spirit of those moments. At All About Après, it’s all about connecting, not with devices, but with people. All About Après
