Rangeley, Maine — While Saddleback opened up for skiers and riders for the season on Friday, a mammal may have gotten in the best turns of the day.

Yesterday, a skier witnessed a moose checking out the terrain. The moose noticed the guests and began galloping down the trail. The videographer kept his distance, slowly following the moose behind as it kept going down the slope. I was glad to see the moose was getting to test out the opening-day product.

Saddleback opened up for the season on Friday, December 6th. The Maine ski resort currently has 52 (fifty-two!) of its 68 trails open. This is thanks to 31″ of recent snowfall, and more is on the way.
