Jackson Hole‘s Corbet’s Couloir is consistently home to some of the best fail videos in skiing and snowboarding. Sure the highlights like to stand out, but people always tend to like the major wipeouts the most.
It’s not exactly clear what went wrong in this guy’s Corbet’s attempt. Maybe the shadows made it so he couldn’t tell how far away the ground was. Maybe he lost his balance right before dropping. Maybe Corbet’s was just a bit out of his league. Whatever the case, this has got to be one of the best crashes on the legendary run that I’ve seen in a while.
Jackson Hole is set to open this Friday, November 29, for the 2024/25 ski season. On Saturday, December 7, the resort will attempt to break their own world record for the most people skiing in jeans at a single resort on one day, with lift tickets costing just $25 for those wearing jeans.
