Wild footage from the slopes of Heavenly Ski Resort in South Lake Tahoe, California of a bear cub running onto an active ski run and nearly colliding with a snowboarder.
The snowboarder saw the bear out of his periphery and in a split second reaction managed to slam on the brakes sending up a cloud of snow and the bear seemingly vanished from the frame.
After careful examination of the video it appears the snowboarder missed the bear by mere inches and it ran behind him as he threw up the snow cloud obscuring its exit off the trail. Incredibly close call, glad both the snowboarder and bear were uninjured.
“At Heavenly and it’s a perfect day for shredding the slope. Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, Boo-Boo came sprinting across the trail—guess he’s on the hunt for Yogi Bear! Do all bears go to heaven? This one just pulled a disappearing act—POOF, gone in a flash”
