Quebec — Thanks in part to the success of the Club Med at Le Massif, another one could be coming to another popular Quebec ski resort.

Yesterday, it was announced that Club Med is in advanced discussions with Mont Tremblant and the Brivia Group to build an all-inclusive resort there.

The new resort is planned to feature around 300 luxury rooms. It would be situated on the Versant Soleil side of the mountain and be part of the L’Hymne-des-Trembles real estate development. Nearly 300 jobs will be created by the development, and roughly half of the workers will live in housing at the ski resort. If things proceed as expected, more details about the project will be announced in the near future.

Back in 2020, Tremblant announced a new chairlift and terrain expansion in this area, but those plans haven’t come to fruition yet. While not mentioned in the press release, this development could change that.

Currently, the timeline isn’t definitive due to the need to secure financing and permits, among other hurdles. However, they’re aiming to begin construction next summer and open it in December 2028.

The move follows the opening of Club Med Québec Charlevoix (fancier way of saying Club Med at Le Massif) in 2021. Since its opening, it has served more than 130,000 guests and has an average occupancy rate of 75%.

The USA is currently without a Club Med. However, as Jim Carrey demonstrated in an infomercial, they have existed in the past. There were initially plans to build a Club Med at Snowbasin Resort in Utah, which was announced in 2021. However, those plans were scrapped.
