Danbury, New Hampshire — In a surprising move, Ragged Mountain Resort is being put on the market.
This week, it was announced that Ragged Mountain Resort is for sale. This roughly 1,900-acre fee-simple sale features two offerings: the ski resort and 443 acres of development land, which has been approved for 870 Equivalent Residential Units (ERUs). These two plots of land can be bought together or separately by different parties. The price point of the listing has not been made public.
Ragged currently features 57 trails and glades on 250 skiable acres, five lifts, and a vertical drop of 1250 feet. Its base area features three core buildings: a ticket office, the four-story Meeting House Lodge, and the three-story Elmwood Lodge. There are also various parking lots leading up to the mountain.
In addition, there’s further growth for development. Despite cutting the trees for the trails, the current ownership group has never gone forward with the Pinnacle Peak expansion. As part of this listing, the 604-acre Pinnacle Peak parcel is available as a separate offering.

The move comes amid what could be considered Ragged’s best season ever. According to the Concord Monitor, Ragged has surpassed 100,000 skier visits for the first time and have earned record revenue this season. This has been led by its addition to the Indy Pass and the Mission Affordable program. The ski resort is owned by Doug Anderson, who’s the co-founder of Pacific Group Resorts, Inc. PGRI operates the ski resort.
