Skiing and snowboarding in Antarctica.
Skiing and snowboarding in Antarctica.

Antarctica feels like the end of the world, and in a way it kind of is. The southern most continent offers incredible sights of ice, water, and wildlife, the likes of which exist nowhere else. Skiing there seems like a true dream. Since most of us will never be able to experience such an incredible adventure, we’re forced to just dream about it while watching incredible movies.

The North Face is taking viewers on a trip of a lifetime alongside Xavier, Victor and 18-year-old Mila De Le Rue in their new movie Of A Lifetime, set to premier at the High Five Festival on September 28. The documentary, directed by Jérôme Tanon, follows the snowboarders and skier as they sail across the Drake Passage in search of steep lines in the southern most continent.

“Of a Lifetime” a film by Jérôme Tanon, is a celebration of discovery, adventure and the passing of the torch to the next generation against the backdrop of Antarctica. It chronicles the renowned De Le Rue family’s journey as Xavier, Victor and 18-year-old Mila sail across the Drake Passage to ride the steep, icy lines of the white continent. Mila’s initiation into big mountain freeriding is captured through personal diaries, showcasing her growth as she faces her fears and embraces the challenge.

Of A Lifetime premiers at film festivals around the world, starting with the High Five Festival in France. From there it shows in Poland, Austria, Macedonia, and more. A full schedule of festivals showing Of A Lifetime is available here.
