“Rollerblading down Little Cottonwood Canyon was a dream come true. It’s beautiful AF but also, steep af and scary af.”
Not enough snow in Utah for the ski resorts to open but that doesn’t mean you can’t have a bit of fun in Little Cottonwood Canyon while we wait. Not sure what the legality of rollerblading down the famed canyon is but cycling is permitted so we’ll just assume its on the up and up. Definitely wouldn’t attempt this without one of those old school heel stoppers on my blades but even then I think it would worn down to a nub at the bottom of the descent. Cheers to Ari for fulfilling one of his lifelong dreams:
“Skating down the iconic Little Cottonwood Canyon in Utah. There is nothing little about it… For context, this canyon is home to some of the gnarliest skiing in the country because of how steep it is. It’s my favorite place to ski, and it’s always been a dream of mine to descend down this road on rollerblades.”
ABOUT ARI AKA THE STUTTERING SKATER:
My name is Ari, aka “The Stuttering Skater.” I picked up Rollerblading at the start of the pandemic, and I fell in love with the feeling of freedom. My goal is to grow the sport and lower the barrier of entry and inspire more people to get out there and move their bodies on skates, preferably.
Here’s Ari skiing:
