BASE jumper Johnni DiJulius (@johnnidijulius) is lucky to be alive after a jump went wrong earlier this year. DiJulius repeatedly slammed into a cliff wall in Arizona after his parachute malfunctioned.
“After I opened I grabbed my toggles but didn’t turn it away in time. When I finally fought it off the wall, I looked up and saw 5 of my 7 cells were ripped. I couldn’t steer and was shocked it was still flying.”
DiJulius shared the crazy footage to his Instagram, and wrote a lengthy caption to explain what happened. Check it out.
Thankfully he’s okay! I still can’t believe he walked away from this incident without breaking any bones, or worse.
