We all remember the wild stories of poorly built bedrooms and cardboard beds that athletes were asked to deal with while participating at the Olympics in the past, but it seems like things are a bit different for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics.

U.S. Snowboard Cross team member Nathan Pare shared a tour of his room to his social media, and it looks incredibly luxurious. The beds are apparently comfortable, the room is huge, and the bathroom looks very nice. Plus he and his teammate have a couch, a large TV, and access to a balcony.

There are 6 total Olympic villages for athletes this winter spread across Italy. Pare is staying in the Livigno Olympic Village where three existing hotels tucked among the high peaks of the Italian were transformed into the village. It’s not the same case of pure luxury everywhere, though.

Team USA Long Track Speed Skater Greta Myers shared a tour of her room at the Milano Olympic & Paralympic Village, and it looks a little different than Pare’s room. The village was designed to host the participants of the Winter Games and will be transformed into a modern student housing complex after the games.

That’s not to say Myer’s is unhappy with the room. She appreciates the amount of storage and the quality of the bathroom. But it does look quite a bit different than Pare’s luxurious hotel room.
