North Creek, New York — It’s shaping up to be another busy offseason for Gore Mountain. This week, Gore announced what projects they’re working on during the warm months ahead. Here’s a primer on what will be new at Gore for the 2025-26 season.
New Top Ridge Chairlift: The old Top Ridge chairlift was regarded as a slow ride up. Gore is aiming to change that. This offseason, the triple chairlift will be replaced by a new Skytrac fixed-grip quad chairlift. This new chairlift will service beginner, intermediate, and advanced trails and glades. The other lift project this offseason is the replacement of the haul rope on the Straight Brook Quad.

New Lodge: Arguably the biggest offseason project in New York’s ski industry last season was the replacement of the Hudson Chair with a new detachable high-speed quad chairlift. Improvements at the North Creek Ski Bowl will also be happening this offseason, as they aim to complete the Ski Bowl Lodge. The lodge will include a full-service restaurant and bar, sitting areas, a retail shop, and outdoor patio space on two levels. The lodge is scheduled to open during the 2025-26 ski season
Work will commence this summer on a new zip coaster, which will be situated in the North Creek Ski Bowl. It’s scheduled to open in summer 2026.

Snowmaking Upgrades: New water lines will help improve snowmaking efficiency. The new pipes are being added to the Twister, Echo, Upper Sleighride, and Lower Sleighride trails. These pipes will be wider than their predecessors, leading to more water flow and fewer leaks.

Parking: Gore Mountain also plans to expand its parking capacity. They’re planning to add a new parking lot next to the access road. If built, its approximate whereabouts will be below Lot G. The lot would have a total of 375 parking spaces. This project is subject to local approvals.
Other recent improvements at Gore include new chairlifts (Hudson, Bear Cub, Sunway, and High Peaks), the sculpting of a new trail on Burnt Ridge Mountain, new gondola cabins, snowmaking upgrades, and lodge renovations.
