The Zlatibor Gold Gondola in Serbia is the longest gondola in the world, stretching to nearly 5.6 miles (9km) in length and taking a full 25 minutes to reach from one end to the other. The gondola takes passengers from the center of Zlatibor to the Tornik ski area, passing over Lake Ribničko where a midway station is located.

At its full capacity, the Zlatibor Gold Gondola can fit 90 cabins and transport 1,000 passengers per hour. Currently it can transport 800 passengers per hour in 72 cabins with 10 seats each. The stunning ride is an attractive trip for skiers and snowboarders, mountaineers, and general tourists who want a look at the Serbian landscape.

Mount Zlatibor, located in southwestern Serbia, is a major tourist destinations in the region, reaching ~4908 feet high. Tornik is the biggest ski area for both alpine and nordic skiers in western Serbia.
