Wow, what an early season it’s been for Alyeska Resort.

Alaska’s largest resort isn’t a stranger to monster snowfall totals, but I think anybody would be surprised if you said that they’ve have 295″ of total snowfall on the season on December 10th!

Yes. You read that sentence correctly. Alyeska has totaled 295″ of snowfall so far this season, and they just opened for the general public today! 295″ of snow is more than many ski resorts average all year. It’s pretty unreal when you think about it.

The pictures in this blog were all captured yesterday, 12/9, during Alyeska’s opening day for passholders. The resort opened with a 112″ maximum base, and it dumped another 17″ throughout the day bringing the season total to 295″ as stated earlier.

Today’s snow report 🤯

La Nina is expected to keep conditions favorable for Alyeska to have an absolutely monster year, and I won’t jinx it by making any bold predictions, but I’m definitely going to keep an eye on their snowfall total. I smell the potential Mt. Baker’s snowfall record to be broken…

Here’s to hoping Alyeska keeps getting hammered!
