Man Trapped In Porta Potty After Tree Falls at Pennsylvania National Park

Talk about getting caught in a pinch…a nightmare scenario played out last Friday for a man at Gettysburg National Military Park in Pennsylvania where a tree blown over by high winds fell on the porta potty he was occupying, trapping him inside. WBAY reports The Barlow Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene and treated it like a car entrapment, using a chain saw to cut away the fallen tree and then cutting the portable toilet open with another saw.

“He was very lucky. It was a large tree, and it just missed striking him. It could have been very serious.” –Assistant Chief Joe Robinson

The man was alert and talking to EMS as he was loaded into an ambulance to be taken to Gettysburg Hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening. No telling what type of business he was conducting but it looks as though the poor guy left his pants in the wreckage. images from Barlow Volunteer Fire Department FB
