Want to meet a tough little kid? Here’s 8 year old Pike Carlson of Bailey, Colorado who fought off a 65lb mountain lion with his bare hands after it dragged him from his backyard. Pike and his brother Gage were playing in their backyard when lion grabbed him by the head and dragged him under a tree. Gage ran into the house to alert his dad.
The dad came running out with knife in hand and when he came upon the cat it dropped the boy and ran off. Pike had put up a hell of a fight and had some serious battle wounds. His parents drove him to the closest fire station and paramedics from the Platte Canyon Fire Protection District took him to Swedish hospital. Pike had two surgeries and needed dozens of stitches and staples to close the wounds.
