Newbury, New Hampshire — One of the coolest offseason events hosted by a ski resort is underway in New Hampshire.
The League of New Hampshire Craftsmen is an organization devoted to supporting excellent artists and craftsmen. Each year, they host a fair that features vendors, artists, and sculptors from various fields. Mount Sunapee hosts this event, as the Flyway ski trail is full of tents featuring these artists. The fair started on August 1st and will conclude on the 9th.
I went yesterday, and it was cool to see so many creative artists and their work. It’s a great visit for those who are looking to grab new stuff for their house (such as pottery or frames), check out some demonstrations, or just want to view art and chat with people who created these works.
For skiers, here are a few cool finds that I found.

Summer at Mount Sunapee
Meanwhile, Sunapee’s summer attractions will be open from Thursday through Sunday. Activities include scenic chairlift rides, mountain biking trails, hiking trails, mini golf, disc golf, and an aerial adventure course. Preparations are underway for next ski season, which typically begins in late November or early December.
