Boston, Massachusetts — One of hockey’s most iconic franchises is offering a complimentary lift ticket to a major New England ski destination if you attend a game in the coming months.

For the 2026-27 season, the Boston Bruins and Loon Mountain Resort are partnering again on a ticket deal. Known as the Skate & Ski Ticket Package, if you buy a $150 ticket to a select number of Boston Bruins matches, you also get a free lift ticket to use at Loon Mountain Resort.

The number of games is actually pretty extensive and includes matches against last year’s Stanley Cup finalists. The following home games feature the Loon Mountain offer:

  • October 5th vs. the Ottawa Senators (which already transpired; my condolences to those who paid money for that performance)
  • October 8th vs. the Utah Mammoth.
  • October 22nd vs. the Nashville Predators.
  • November 2nd vs. the Vegas Golden Knights.
  • November 17th vs. the Los Angeles Kings.
  • November 29th vs. the Vancouver Canucks.
  • December 17th vs. the St. Louis Blues.
  • January 5th vs. the Buffalo Sabres.
  • January 12th vs. the Carolina Hurricanes
  • January 14th vs. the Dallas Stars.

The terms and conditions do include some important notes. First, Loon tickets can’t be used on Saturdays or Sundays. That makes sense, as seemingly the whole state of Massachusetts drives up to Lincoln, New Hampshire during weekends. Some peak weekdates are also blacked out, including December 28, 2026—December 31, 2026 (Christmas break); January 18, 2027 (MLK Day); and February 15–19, 2027 (February vacation). Loon is a ski resort that’s pretty mellow on weekdays, so it’s a worthwhile visit if you do snag the free lift ticket.

Ultimately, it’s safe to say that this is the biggest news story we’re reporting about Loon Mountain today.

Skiing & Hockey

Based on our research, the Bruins remain the only NHL team to offer this type of promotion. Other ski resorts sponsor hockey clubs, including Mammoth Mountain for the Los Angeles Kings and Alterra and Ski Utah for the Utah Mammoth.

It’d be cool to see other ski resorts partner with hockey teams on a deal like this, as it would allow more people to hit the slopes.
