Ellicottville, NY — It’s going to be another busy offseason at Holiday Valley Resort.
Last week, the New York ski resort announced approximately $5 million in upgrades during the 2026 offseason.
The most significant project will involve the continued modernization of the snowmaking network. This will consist of replacing the old air and water lines and adding state-of-the-art HKD snow guns. These energy-efficient upgrades will consume less power but lead to more effective snowmaking windows. These additions will result in earlier terrain openings and better mid- and late-season conditions.
To streamline the lift mazes, RFID gates will be added. This will also allow guests to purchase in advance and avoid stopping by the ticket office if they already have an RFID card.
The food and dining experience is also getting an upgrade. McCarty Café in the Main Lodge, which is a food court option, is being refurbished.
In terms of summer activities, new aerial adventure courses will be added as part of the Sky High Adventure Park. New turf management equipment has been added, which will allow for a more pristine Double Black Diamond Golf Course.
“These investments reflect Holiday Valley’s ongoing commitment to improving the guest experience across all four seasons,” said Dennis Eshbaugh, President and General Manager of Holiday Valley. “From snowmaking and mountain operations to lodging, golf, and summer attractions, we are thrilled to continue to reinvest in the resort to ensure Holiday Valley remains one of the premier year-round destinations in the Northeast.”
