Cheers to Colorado’s Keystone Resort who wrangled employees from different departments to help with a push to plant native trees on their slopes despite a healthy dose of early season snow.

“We’ve got deep roots in our environment, and they just keep growing!” –Keystone Resort

Participating Keystone staff paused their regular responsibilities to help plant 800 tree saplings in Bergman Bowl in partnership with the Forest Service nursery. When the 500 Engelmann Spruce saplings mature they will fill in gaps and create cohesive trails while promoting soil stability in the Jane’s Journey area and the 300 Lodgepole Pine will fill out the old Argentine lift line.

Love to see ski resorts taking their dendrological operations seriously as well as providing their employees a excellent opportunity to get in touch with the terrain prior to the ski season. Bravo.
