Danbury, New Hampshire — This past ski season was a major one for Ragged Mountain Resort. Last November, it was sold to a group of longtime skiers and riders of the resort. They had a snowy season that saw their woods frequently in play. With the 2025-26 season now being over, they’re planning on a busy offseason.
Yesterday, Ragged Mountain’s new owners announced a multi-year investment plan for the New Hampshire ski resort. This offseason will see three key priorities: the lodge, lifts, and snowmaking.
The Elmwood Lodge, already one of the best base lodges in the region, will undergo several upgrades in the first phase of its remodel. This will include an expansion of the Hearst Cafe (their food court option), adding bag storage on the first floor, more seasonal lockers, and replacing the tables across the building.
In terms of lifts, the Summit Six will have its haul rope replaced, extending its longevity. The Barnyard lift, which was temporarily closed this past winter due to a drive failure, will complete its low-voltage drive installation project. Â
Originally debuted in the early 2000s, the Big Rock Basin terrain zone is often closed due to a lack of functional snowmaking. This offseason, a new snowmasking network will be installed on Upper and Lower Easy Winder. This will lead to more time with these runs open, as well as a new way for less-experienced skiers to get down from the summit. The new ownership’s ultimate goal is to get over 95% snowmaking coverage of its non-gladed terrain.

Ragged Stash Pass
Also worth noting is Ragged’s new season pass. Priced at $449 until April 19th, the Ragged Stash Pass replaces the Mission Affordable Pass, which was the offering when Pacific Group Resorts (PGR) ran the ski resort.
The pass includes unlimited access at Ragged Mountain. Also worth noting is that Ragged is keeping its reciprocal agreement with Jay Peak, meaning passholders get five free tickets to the snowy Vermont ski resort. There are also various lift ticket discounts to Dartmouth Skiway, Granite Gorge, McIntyre, Pats Peak, Ski Butternut, and Whaleback. For mountain bikers, there’s 50% off midweek/25% weekend tickets to Highland Mountain Bike Park. Discounts on buddy tickets are also available.
The new Stash Pass is a good value for New England skiers and riders, and probably one I’ll be getting to support the new ownership team.
