Alta Ski Area is offering major discounts through the end of the season.

It’s been a rough ski season across the United States, and while some mountains in the east and midwest saw some major snowfall this winter, many more in the west struggled to find enough snow to open the entire mountain. As resorts shut down prematurely from the east coast to the west, it’s become a growing trend for open resorts to extend a welcoming hand to those impacted, offering discounted tickets to skiers and snowboarders with season passes to other resorts.

Utah’s Alta Ski Area has now joined that list of resorts offering major discounts. Those with a season pass to another mountain can now present their current season pass and and a valid ID at any ticket window on the mountain to receive 50% off throughout the rest of the season. That includes the Epic Pass or any other megapass.

This is especially valuable for skiers in Utah, where just 5 ski areas remain open. Of those 5, not a single one is featured on the Epic Pass, making this quite the deal. Importantly, this deal does not apply to closing day set for April 26th.

Other mountains offering these discounts include Mammoth Mountain in California, who’s offering $79 lift tickets to skiers and snowboarders with passes to other mountains until the end of the season, and Loon Mountain Resort in New Hampshire, who’s providing $39 lift tickets to those with a pass to another mountain. Loon is set to close this Sunday, April 19th, so act fast if you’re hoping to take advantage of the deal in New Hampshire.

Alta Ski Area currently has an 81 inch snow base and 97 of 118 ski runs open, definitely not bad for this late in a not-so-great season. Keep in mind that this deal only applies to skiers, as snowboarders are not allowed at Alta.
