Idaho/Montana — Not every ski area has scenic chairlift rides for fruit pickers. But not every ski area is Lookout Pass, the cross-border ski area which is one of the best spots in the country for powderhounds.

Huckleberries, which have a similar shape to blueberries, are described as sweet-tasting fruits. To make these fruit-picking areas easier to access, Lookout Pass is offering chairlift rides on the Peak 1 Quad over the next month.

Lift tickets cost $16 for adults, and discounted rates are available for seniors, kids, and active military members. The rides will take place on August 9th, August 16th, August 23rd, August 30th, August 31st, and September 1st.

Situated on the border of Idaho and Montana, Lookout Pass is one of the best ski areas for those who love getting powder turns in. The ski area features 60 trails, 1,023 skiable acres, a vertical drop of 1,650 feet, and five lifts. The Eagle Peak terrain expansion that opened during the 2022-23 season nearly doubled the amount of skiable terrain available at the Pass.

In the summertime, operations at Lookout Pass revolve around the Route of the Hiawatha, a fifteen-mile biking and hiking trail that travels across various trestles and train tunnels.
