Farmington, Maine — If you’re in a giving mood, a Maine ski area is looking for support to help acquire a new T-Bar.

Last month, Titcomb Mountain announced its intention to replace its two T-Bars. The goal is to fundraise for a new T-Bar for the 2025-26 season and make repairs to the other operating T-Bar.

The main goal is to replace Lift #2 this offseason. This lift was originally from Cannon Mountain, opening back in 1953. It was installed at Titcomb in 1973, which means that this is a very old lift. The lift is vital for Titcomb’s family atmosphere, as it serves a variety of terrain.

The other T-Bar, Lift #1, is in need of extensive repairs. While that T-Bar is still functional, this lift is scheduled to be replaced within the next five years because of its aging parts. For now, the ski area is focusing on making necessary repairs to it this summer. This surface lift services most of the advanced terrain at the ski area.

If you’re looking to support Titcomb, you can mail a check to Titcomb Mountain, PO Box 138, W. Farmington, ME 04992. Alternatively, you can Venmo them at @FSC_Titcomb.
