Schilthorn in Switzerland is currently hosting one of the greatest freestyle skiing events of the year, the Swatch Nines. It’s consistently one of the most forward thinking events in the world of freestyle skiing and snowboarding, inviting athletes to break records, accomplish world firsts, and push freestyle further than ever before.
The event started this past Monday, April 7, and runs through Saturday, April 12. The wild terrain park will only be open to the public eye on Saturday for the Public Day starting at 11am. Everything else we see from it has to come from the athletes and the event hosts themselves, and fortunately they haven’t left us hanging.
It’s pretty evident that the terrain park is gnarly, as it should be. Athletes, designers and park builders work together for months to come up with the design and make it happen, The park is big and very unique, easily the coolest rope tow park we’ve ever seen.
