Yet another example of J Skis’ brilliant April Fools’ jokes.
J Skis creator Jason Levinthal was inspired by an online listing for a bike seat to push a masterful innovation in the skiing world. The Kid’s Ski Seat System allows parents to ski with their young children mounted directly on the front of their skis, creating fantastic memories that’ll stick with your kid forever.
J’s invention was supposedly inspired by an image in a listing for a child’s bike seat, where the seat was mounted directly to a pair of skis. Believing there could be some use to the product, he placed an order and set it up on his own skis, borrowing his friend’s 1-year-old daughter to test it out. Pretty impressive invention!
In the past J Skis April Fools’ inventions have included Modular Zipper Skis and Velcro Ski Bindings. It appears the photo of seat mounted to skis does not really exist on the internet (as far as I could find), but it’s pretty clear J actually found a way to mount the seat to his skis and it seems like the child was actually put in the seat.
Don’t worry, anytime they were actually shredding, including when J strapped the skis on, there was almost certainly no real child in the chair.
