Colorado’s Copper Mountain has seen a nice helping of snowfall in the past 24 hours, with 9 inches falling over night last night and plenty more coming down throughout the day today. That brings Copper to 265 inches of snowfall this season, a pretty epic total so far, and another storm looks to be rolling in later this week.

Though we’re still deep in the season, enjoying the snow as much as possible, Copper has clarified their closing day for the 2024/25 season. The Colorado ski resort will shut down their lifts on May 11, tying the second longest season on record with the 1996/97 season.

If the May 11 closing date stands, Copper will have provided 185 days on-hill to skiers and snowboarders. Last year, the resort closed on May 12.

Don’t fret! There’s still plenty of snow on the mountain and plenty of time to enjoy it. May 11 is still more than two months away, and we certainly plan on taking advantage of as much of it as we possibly can.
