Skier rides on top of avalanche.

French skier Noam Dupinay was caught in an avalanche near France’s Porté-Puymorens. Fortunately despite riding along with the slide for a considerable amount of time, Dupinay was able to stay on top of the snow and ride it out.

The avalanche took him through what looked to be a pretty steep and narrow section of a couloir, scraping him across some icy sections and potentially some rocks before dumping him out in the debris below.

Somehow Dupinay remained quite calm throughout the slide, swearing a bit but not panicking and not fighting the snow too much. He’s lucky he wound up okay.
