Fiery snowmobile crash.
Fiery snowmobile crash.

Snowmobiles are not the easiest machines to control, and stopping one is not as simple as it might be in a car. So when you’re riding on trails where there might be even the slightest blind corner, doing so at a safe, stoppable speed is incredibly necessary.

This snowmobile crash is a great example as to why. The driver comes around a corner with way too much speed as a groomer is making its way down the trail in the opposite direction. We can’t tell how hard the guy slammed on his breaks but it seems like there wasn’t enough space, resulting in a crash.

Why exactly this crash turned into a fiery explosion is beyond me, but that sled driver is lucky he was able to get away. Hopefully the groomer driver got out and away as well, though the likelihood of both the groomer and snowmobile seeing catastrophic damage seems high.
