Vermont’s Jay Peak Resort is looking to bring back to the ski week vacation with a new program designed around four- and five-night midweek stays, aimed at families looking for something more than just a quick weekend trip. The concept allows guests to settle into the mountain, establish routines, and experience more of what the resort offers in a single winter vacation.
Jay Peak Ski Week Includes Lift Tickets and Waterpark Access
Ski Week stays start at $449 per night for a family of four, with the package including lodging, lift tickets, access to the Pump House Indoor Water Park, and additional activities and resort benefits. The program will be available for qualifying Sunday through Thursday stays running from January 3rd through March 25th, 2027. The February 13th through February 20th period is excluded, and reservations must be made by November 4th, 2026.
“We think the ski industry lost something when the traditional ski week started to disappear. There’s something different that happens when you have enough time at a mountain for the vacation to find its own rhythm. Your boots start living by the door, the kids find their favorite trails, and everyone develops their own places, paces and routines. We’re trying to bring some of that back.” – Steve Wright, General Manager at Jay Peak Resort.
Rite of Passage Pass Adds More Resort Benefits
Ski week guests will also receive a Rite of Passage Pass that provides around $600 to $1,800 in additional value depending on the length of the stay and how the benefits are used. They include complimentary day-of-arrival lift tickets and waterpark access, Nordic skiing and rentals, public skating and rentals, mini golf, and movies at Clips & Reels. There’s also access to an exclusive climbing night, 24/7 gym access, and complimentary resort shuttle service.
Further discounts include 50% off ski and snowboard equipment rentals, 50% off select ski and ride lessons, and 25% off dining at participating restaurants. There are also opportunities to save on spa services, retail, and other resort exepriences.
Midweek Skiing Could Mean Quieter Conditions
The midweek access is a big part of the Ski Week appeal, as Sunday through Thursday stays tend to offer a quieter experience than peak weekend periods with less crowded trails and shorter lift lines. The idea is not to pack as many activities into a vacation as possible, rather it’s to allow families to become familiar with the mountain over a longer period of time.
More information about reservations and the complete Rite of Passage Pass benefits can be found on the Jay Peak Resort website.
