Many ski areas around the country had a solid weekend of snowfall. In Colorado, several mountains got around 5 inches of snow Friday night into Saturday. Fortunately winter isn’t over yet, and meteorologist Chris Tomer is forecasting what could be a fairly deep week for parts of California, Utah, and Colorado.
Between February 10 and February 16, both Crested Butte and Snowmass could see 30 inches or more of snowfall in Colorado, while Mammoth Mountain is forecasted to see up to 36 inches, or three feet, of snowfall in the same span. The rest of Colorado is looking at more than a foot in that time span, while Alta in Utah could see two feet and Park City could see around 16 inches.
The East Coast is looking at another solid week as well, with a foot or more potentially falling at several New England ski areas. I’m not advocating for you to bail on prior engagements and go skiing this Valentine’s Day Weekend, but you know what snow good snow means.
