A resident of Montreal, Canada was up early and able to capture city’s incredibly efficient snow removal process their window. When the snow is deep in urban centers, simply plowing it into berms is not adequate and actual removal required. The folks in Montreal have it down to a science and its impressive.
Watch as the professionals from the Montreal Municipal Snow Removal Service execute an extremely well orchestrated operation. The process begins with a frontend loader who makes a first pass to gather the snow. This is followed by a massive snowblower who feeds the debris into a semi truck that runs parallel to it as it creeps down the street. Next a small tracked plow cleans the sidewalks followed by multiple Volvo graders who get down to the concrete. Salt is then laid down to loosen the underlying ice and finally multiple passes are made by heavy duty plows and snowblowers finish the job.
