It has not been the snowiest past few weeks in the western half of the United States as parts of the Northeast were enjoying some decent early season mountain snowfall. The past few days brought a little bit of snow to the Rockies, but nothing necessarily to write home about. Fortunately for those out west, Chris Tomer is forecasting a bit of a change in pace.

There are three major storm systems to keep an eye on heading through the mountains. California, Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, and Colorado could all see some serious snowfall throughout the storms, with over a foot potentially landing in parts of California, Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana, and close to or around a foot in Utah and Colorado.

The Pacific Northwest and Interior British Columbia could also be looking at some serious snow totals, with parts of Oregon and Washington looking at over two feet. Mount Shasta could see a huge amount of snowfall, potentially looking at around 3 to 4 feet. All of these numbers could change, especially in California and Utah where the numbers could go up.
