Skiing in Chile.
Skiing in Chile.

Professional Austrian skier Tao Kreibich, who formerly competed on the Freeride World Tour, spent a chunk of time skiing in South America this summer, enjoying the culture and, of course, the deep snow. For a minute Kreibich was left begging for more snow, but some massive storms created what his title claims was the best winter in Chile in 20 years.

The video is in German, so make sure to watch with subtitles. Obviously you don’t need subtitles to understand that skiing incredibly deep powder is sweet, but it’s probably worth hearing what he has to say.

If you’re curious, Tao skis on Head Kore 111s, Kore 117s, and Oblivion 102s. Boot wise he runs Head WCR 130S. A full list of his equipment, including his safety gear and what he drinks, is available here. Gear will always be a personal choice, but it’s cool to see what the professionals are running.
