Mt. Bachelor Hosts Mountain Clean Up Day (Limited 200 Total Participants)

If you are a Mt Bachelor skier and snowboarder and would like to participate in a little preseason slopes tidying effort consider tossing your name in for the Play Forever Mountain Clean-Up Day. Volunteers are asked to dress in hiking gear and will be issued one of those handy trash picker claws and sack to walk around and clean up the slopes. Paricipants will get a free lunch, a single-day scenic chairlift ticket, entry to the 2024-25 Winter Season Pass raffle and the piece of mind that they contributed in cleaning up the mountain they love. The Play Forever Mountain Clean-Up Day, presented by Pepsi, is back again! On Saturday, Sept. 28, grab your sturdy hiking shoes, and head up to the mountain to help us collect litter before the snow flies. Registration is FREE and will be required to participate. Registration will be capped at 200 total participants.

Registered participants will get:

Entry to the 2024-25 Winter Season Pass raffle
A single-day scenic chairlift ticket, valid during operating hours through closing day on Oct. 6.

Check-in is at the West Village base area. Upon check in we’ll loan you grabber tools and reusable buckets for trash collection. We’ll focus on collecting litter along the perimeter of the parking lot, in the Nordic Center, off the shop road, and around the base area buildings. We may even head to Skyliner and Sunrise if time and resources allow.

For the safety of our guests and employees, all guests must stay on designated hiking trails (Evergreen or Fly Creek) if they choose to search for litter on the slopes. Wandering off designated hiking routes to collect litter will not be allowed. Don’t worry though, our teams will retrieve litter under Pine Marten and off designated trails when we are closed to the public.

Come prepared! Wear proper footwear and gloves — sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, layers, and a pack with water and snacks are strongly recommended. Thanks for helping Mt. Bachelor protect the environment so future generations can Play Forever!
