New Zealand — For avid skiers and riders in the Northern Hemisphere, a bucket list goal is skiing in the Southern Hemisphere. One option is to go to New Zealand. With some great choices for shredding south of the Equator, many question whether they should try out New Zealand’s ski industry someday.

Yesterday, SRG Skiing released a video detailing their recent trip to Middle Earth.

In this video by SRG Skiing, they describe the core differences between skiing in New Zealand and North America. They detail New Zealand ski resorts’ snow quality, typical season length, size, types of pistes, parking, lift etiquette, skier behavior, and lift ticket prices. Ultimately, while the snow quality and terrain variety make skiing in North America preferable, the friendliness of the Kiwis and the stunning views make skiing in New Zealand worthwhile.
