Mt. Washington in New Hampshire is known for its wacky weather, but when there isn’t precipitation, the views will take your breath away.

This photo, which was shared by the Mt. Washington Observatory, shows a rare cloud phenomenon. In the photo, lenticular clouds were spotted. According to the Mt. Washington Observatory, these clouds “form in the crests of gravity waves created by relatively stable, fast-moving air when it is forced up and over a mountain oriented perpendicular to the wind direction.” What made this Lenticular cloud unique was these typically only contain one to two layers, but the one pictured had seven.
