Bend firefighter-paramedic, Tobias Carleton, was enjoying a day off on the slopes of Willamette Pass Ski Resort in Oregon when he came upon a young man suffering a medical emergency.

The people attending to the man diagnosed it as a seizure but that didn’t seem like the case to Tobias who recognized the symptoms of cardiac arrest stepped in to immediately start CPR. Tobias, with the help of ski patrol and medical staff, kept the man alive for 50 minutes before a life flight was finally able to transfer him to a hospital. The 38-year-man is expected to make a full recovery.

Cheers to Tobias for saving the day. Dude is a hero.
