The LINE Skis team took a trip up to Fernie, BC last March to shoot powder and big mountain lines for a film project.

The film has been named ‘Kootenay Candle’ due to a tree that was burned at one point in the film, and is live for all of us to enjoy.

Check it out below:

LINE Skis: “Last March, we traveled north to meet up with 15+ athletes on the LINE Team in Fernie, British Columbia. The crew put on a clinic at Fernie Alpine Resort and Fernie Wilderness Adventures among freezing temps, greasy poutine, and Canadian cold ones.”

Jonnie Merrill’s (@jonniemerrill) line at the end of the film was absolutely bonkers, but something about it seemed oddly familiar.

That’s when I realized I had seen a different angle that was posted to Instagram by Fernie Alpine Resort earlier this year!

Here’s that original clip of Merrill skiing what’s now known as ‘Triple Shot Americano’ down Fernie’s Currie Headwall:

Insane…

Shout out to the people over at LINE Skis for keeping skiing fun. Their short films are always a good time to watch. That’s the way it should be.
