Mitt Romney Is Selling His Slopeside Deer Valley Mega-Mansion

By

Have you ever been driving to a resort like Aspen, Deer Valley, or Park City and gazed up at the mansions dotting the surrounding hillsides and wondered, “who in the world can afford that house?”?

Yeah. I think we’ve all been there.

It turns out that people like Mitt Romney, ya know, the guy who made millions running Bain Capital and eventually ran for president, can afford those kind of homes…

Romney, now a senator for Utah, is selling his 8,730 sq. ft. slopeside mansion for a whopping $11.5 million.

Take a look at the stats and figures of his home according to the Zillow listing:

6730 Silver Lake Dr, Park City, UT 84060

Beds: 6

Baths: 8

Sq. Ft.: 8730′

Location: Adjacent to the ‘Success’ ski trail on Bald Mountain

Acreage: .5 ac.

Description: “Located along the edge of Deer Valley’s well groomed ‘Success Ski Run’, this quintessential alpine lodge is perfectly situated to capture breathtaking, panoramic views of the surrounding Wasatch Mountains. With a private ski tunnel off the lower level of the property, skiers of all ages can enjoy prime ski-in, ski-out access with a ‘green’ run that’s designed to be enjoyed regardless of skill level.

The open concept floor plan features soaring ceilings, walls of windows, six suites, including two extensive bunk rooms, multiple balconies, and an elevator to service the loft and lower levels. The expansive deck is often utilized to enjoy lunch or hot chocolate after a morning on the mountain, with direct access to the firepit and mountainside hot tub.”

Pretty…uh… sweet… I guess.

The size and value of this home make me want to throw up, but I’m honestly surprised that it’s not selling for more. I thought a slopeside mansion at Deer Valley would sell for at least $20 million, but who knows…

I have a request- I need 50,000 of our closest friends here at Unofficial Networks to contribute just $230 a piece so that we can purchase this home.

You will receive no ownership, equity, or benefits other than knowing that you helped a ski blogger achieve his dream of owning a slopeside mansion.

Think of it as a form of charity, okay? That should make giving $230 of your hard-earned money to a 26-year-old blogger a little bit easier to swallow.

I’m looking forward to your contribution! 😉
