One of Yellowstone National Park’s main attractions are the numerous thermal springs that cover the landscape. They’re beautiful to look at, but can be extremely dangerous due to the obvious- the scalding hot water.
Yellowstone has boardwalk paths so that tourists can walk amongst the thermal areas from a safe distance, but that apparently isn’t enough for some.
The people in the video below ignored warning signs, and park rules for that matter, by stepping off the path for pictures closer to the thermal area.

If you still think this isn’t all that dangerous, I encourage you to read this article by CNN about a man whose body dissolved after he fell into a hot spring in Yellowstone National Park a few years back.
Park officials couldn’t recover his remains because the hot and acidic water literally dissolved his body in a matter of hours.
I get made fun of for being a rule follower, but you’ll never see an article about me dying from falling into a thermal area in Yellowstone. At least I have that going for me.
