While we had its first significant snowfall of the season yesterday, wind holds were commonplace on practically all upper mountain lifts across New England. Some resorts, like Ragged where I skied on Monday, got them open thanks to some hard work, but others weren’t so lucky. Most ski resorts in Northern New Hampshire were completely shut down for the day due to high winds. For example, Bretton Woods saw winds at their summit as high as 82 mph, and Cannon and Loon were both shut down for the day due to the same issues. This Tik Tok below from  @thezzzzman captured the scenes from a snowy and windy day at Loon Mountain. Impatient guests decided at one point to hike up the Seven Brothers trail. Loon Mountain has reopened most of its lifts today, but winds will likely impact operations as well.
