I’ve spent too much time posting about Vail Real Estate that is out of everyone’s price range, so I want to focus on somewhere different. The town of Camden, Maine is a super unique town for the outdoorsy-minded. For one, you are right next to the Atlantic Ocean and are also within ninety minutes of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The most surprising part about Camden is its skiing roots. The Camden Snow Bowl is a ski area located in the town that has stunning ocean views from the summit, night skiing, a tubing park, and numerous summer activities that includes mountain biking.

Here are three properties available in Camden right now: One definitely in the excessive price range, a vintage Cape Cod home around a million dollars, and the more affordable option right next to the Camden Snow Bowl:

135 Mountain Arrow Drive ($8.5 Million):

This four-bedroom, five-and-a-half-bathroom mansion basically has anything you’ll want out of a dream home. The only issue is the price tag: $8.5 million. This includes a stunning outdoor pool and hot tub set up, at-home cinema, greenhouse, guest house, six fireplaces, sauna, fitness room, wine cellar, and a whole lot more. It’s also under five miles from the Camden Snow Bowl. The realtor calls it one of the nicest homes in Maine, which sounds about right. You can read the property description here.

The 1820 Cape-Cod Style Home($995,000):

A lot more affordable than the above property, this Cape Cod style home from 1820 recently underwent a beautiful renovation. This three-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bathroom property is on the town’s historic High Street. The New York Times reports that it’s the original caretaker’s house to the Mountain Arrow estate,  is only 3/10 of a mile from Downtown Camden and the harbor, and not far from the Camden Snow Bowl. Other cool features include a stone wall around the house, a wood-fired fireplace and stove with separate chimneys, a Scandinavian-inspired kitchen, a granite patio, and a stunning bathtub in the master bathroom. You don’t get the fancy amenities like Mountain Arrow Drive, but the 19th-century house is done with a bunch of modern amenities that it is a worthwhile dream home that’s actually in more people’s price range.

399 Hosmer Pond Road($329,000):

For the diehard skiers that are on a budget, this is the clear winner. The house is located literally right next door to the Camden Snow Bowl and gives you pondside access as well as a dock for swimming and boating. This two-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bathroom property gives you stunning mountain views, including the Camden Snow Bowl. The house features simple appliances, a wood stove, floor-to-ceiling windows, huge deck space, a Riani heater, and a vaulted ceiling. The house is currently available for three-season use, but can be modified to make a year-round house. This would probably be my pick.
