With ski resorts uniformly closed across France, many are turning to a low tech solution to uphill travel and the world’s leading producer of snowshoes and poles is reaping the benefits. TSL Outdoors, has stepped up operations in a major way at their factory in the French Alps to meet the growing demand. TSL has more than tripled their output and quadrupled their workforce and still has 40,000 sets of snowshoes on backorder. They have switched to a 24 hour schedule and even hired some out of work lifties and ski instructors to help out on the line.
