The Australian bushfires swept through a popular ski resort located in the NSW Snowy Mountains region over the weekend. Selwyn Snow Resort located seven hours south of Sydney reports severe damage to the resort’s buildings but have not yet assessed their damage to chairlifts and snowmaking equipment. 
The photos of the scene are apocalyptic but the resort is already promising to rebuild “an even better Selwyn.” Many more Aussie ski resorts are under threat from the wildfires including some of the most prominent including Perisher and  Mount Buller. Here’s a statement from Perisher:

We can advise that NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service staff were able to access the resort yesterday.
While we do not yet know the status of lifting and snowmaking infrastructure, we can confirm that the resort buildings have been severely damaged by the fire.
