A group of ski patrol and mountain ops made a miraculous save on Thursday at Mammoth Mountain. A skier was dangling from a Chair #2 and thanks to their quick response, the ski area employees were able to catch the falling 18 year-old woman.

The incident occurred about 12:30 p.m. on chairlift No. 2, Stump Alley Express, out of the Mill area at the Mammoth Lakes resort. The Mammoth lefties are credited with a fast response, grabbing netting and center themselves under the woman, who was some 20 feet up.

Onlookers cheered as she landed, and she soon gave a high-five to one of the people waiting down below, videos showed.

“Those lift guys were amazing,” commented a witness, PalmsVista. “Excellent training.”
