Whether it’s bison in the US or crocodiles in Thailand, selfie obsessed tourists are just asking for trouble.

According to NewVision, a female French tourist got a little too close for comfort while trying to take a selfie with a crocodile at Khao Yai National Park in Thailand. Reports indicate that the crocodile was laying by a river when the tourist in question approached the reptile, disrupted its nap, and was subsequently bitten on the leg.

Officials have indicated that she was left with a “gaping wound” in her leg but she is expected to make a full recovery. There is a sign near where the incident took place that warns tourists about crocodiles in this particular area of the park.
