Looks like a windy and wet saturday and a powdery snowy sunday.  Noaa’s got more details:

Winds will strengthen Friday night becoming strong and gusty on Saturday ahead of and along a cold front. Wind gusts are expected to reach up to 60 mph through valleys and up to 70 mph through wind prone areas with gusts near and above 100 mph across Sierra Ridges.  A High Wind Watch is in effect for Western Nevada and Mono County Saturday.

This cold front will spread rain and snow into Northeast California and the Sierra by early Saturday morning with some spillover into Western Nevada Saturday afternoon. Snow levels will start between 7000-8000 feet Friday night, lowering to 5000-6000 feet by Saturday afternoon.

A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for the Northern Sierra and travel may be impacted Saturday morning across all Sierra passes due to the snow. Showers will linger into Sunday as the upper level low moves through the region.

A WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY MORNING THROUGH LATE SATURDAY NIGHT.

* TIMING: SNOW AND RAIN IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP EARLY SATURDAY MORNING WITH A PERIOD OF HEAVY RAIN AND SNOW SATURDAY AFTERNOON.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS: A FOOT OR MORE OF SNOW IS POSSIBLE ABOVE 7000 FEET WITH SEVERAL INCHES DOWN TO LAKE LEVEL.

* WINDS: 20 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 55 MPH TONIGHT INTO SATURDAY MORNING. SIERRA RIDGE GUSTS MAY EXCEED 100 MPH.

* SNOW LEVELS: 7500 TO 8500 FEET LATE TONIGHT LOWERING DOWN TO LAKE LEVEL DURING THE DAY SATURDAY.
