This Fleece kept Colleen warm though her travels in Alaska

When I was leaving to go out west to ski Utah and Alaska this April and May I was looking at new gear to get. I heard from some local friends out there that it was still winter conditions, so I needed a heavier fleece, rather then spring pond skimming conditions. It had to be good looking piece to go with my soft shell as well as stylish. I tend to get colder more easily so when I saw this I had to get it. The Patagonia Women’s Classic Retro-X Jacket. It is breathable yet windproof at the same time, and believe me the windproof aspect really works! There is a full zip in the front, with two pockets in the front to keep your little hands toasty warm too. Quilted nylon panels under the entire arm and down the side of the body to help the life span of this fleece. This is a feature that I really enjoy because I tend to blow out the elbows on a fleece or stretch the hell out of it. The fleece comes to around the hip, but does not have a lot of stretch to it so if you like more room, order a size up from normal. Lastly, it is made of recycled polyester and Synchilla®. So all those ugly suits in the 70s helped make this sweet new fleece.
